Nathalie Le Riche, originally from Brisbane, Australia, has lived in Kimbe, WNB for over a decade and
finds she has an endless supply of inspirational material for her tribal and
underwater theme paintings. The vibrant and captivating colours pf Papua
New Guinea come vividly to life with each stroke of her paintbrush.
Painting and drawing has always been her passion. Now her mission is to promote PNG all over the world through her work.
Nathalie works mostly with gouache on watercolour paper because of the texture and movement of colours. She also uses oil pastels and acrylic on canvas. Her various styles reflect her attitude to life - absorb as much as you can while taking the time to relax and appreciate the things that surround us. Natalie's paintings are a reminder to take the time to reflect on the beauty the world has to offer.
At
her studio, located behind her family home in Kimbe, Natalie offers PNG Storyboard placemats and coaster sets, printed gift cards,
calendars and other ideal gifts, as well as larger individual paintings.
Her work is featured on the walls of Walindi and Liamo resorts on West New
Britain and can be purchased by anyone who appreciates her work and the
beautiful colours of PNG.
While you are in Kimbe, you may be able to visit Nathalie's studio which is open by appointment. Just phone 983 4136. If you are not lucky enough to be in West New Britain, browse www.picturetrail.com/leriche and enjoy the excitement of Le Riche Colours.
